Why “Together for the future”?

The fashion industry is characterized by being primarily a linear economy: production → consumption → waste. The environmental consequences are disastrous - harming the health of people and the planet.

Promoting circular fashion requires collaboration, responsibility and creativity. Portuguese brands work every day for circular and inclusive solutions throughout their value chain. This holistic approach promotes a positive impact on the environment and people through a high-value product.

Incorporating Sustainability practices into the business means ensuring that decisions taken today will not prevent future generations from having the same, or a better, quality of life in the future.

At KIDS MODAPORTUGAL you will find brands with a sustainable DNA, ensuring that local workers, the environment and the business model are based on ethical, equitable and economically viable decisions.

Sustainability goal until 2030

Our planet faces enormous economic, social and environmental challenges.

KIDS MODAPORTUGAL brands are guided by the Sustainable Development guidelines promoted by the United Nations (UN) with the goal of fulfilling the 2030 Agenda.

This international guide is made up of 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), resulting from the joint work of governments and citizens around the world to create a new global model to end poverty, promote prosperity and well-being for all, protect the environment and combat climate change.

KIDS MODAPORTUGAL brands are guided by 3 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

Proudly made in Portugal

Made in Portugal means "responsability".

Producing in Portugal means assuring the final consumer that their pieces are produced in a country with strong labor legislation and social sustainability: Giving different guarantees to workers such as: social protection, guarantee of rights, access to health care and inspections from different entities.

Environmental sustainability. For a company to operate legally, it must go through an environmental license protecting the local environment.

Economic sustainability. With a strong cluster with more than 50 years of history, Portugal is internationally recognized for its qualified workforce, developing high quality products. That's why the "Made In Portugal" seal is a seal of quality.

Materials matter

Two-thirds of a product's impact depends on its raw materials. KIDS MODAPORTUGAL brands already have a better understanding of the choice of fibers used. Brands invest time and resources in choosing the right raw material. Discover the result of the AW22/23 collection.

Together in the fight against textile waste

Fashion industry is characterized by its linear model. This model generates an unprecedented volume of textile waste that is potentially toxic to humans and natural systems. Textile waste is one of the most serious problems in this sector, since less than 1% of clothes are recycled.
How are portuguese brands fighting textile waste?
  • 1.Few raw materials and reduced colors choice;
  • 2.Repair Stations;
  • 3.Dead stock use;
  • 4.Reverse logistic;
  • 5.Flawed products revalue;
